What is SKILLA Fashion about?

SKILLA Fashion is brand that believes in using your skills, gifts and/or talents in a positive way. SKILLA concentrates more on the constructive and encouraging characteristics of life. Our aim is to pay great attention to our clothing details, engage and create lifelong relationships with all.

The Story

Hi, my name is Darold Pinnock. Since childhood, I have always found myself drawing. As I got older, my interest in designing and drawing led me to freelance graphic and web designing. My experience with doing freelance designing exposed me to a whole world of designing. So in 2008, after doing quite a few freelance t-shirt designs, the idea of starting a clothing line came to me. This is when I knew that I wanted to create and come up with a line that promotes positivity.

SKILLA was a high school nickname of mine that my friends gave me. They thought I was skilled in various areas, mainly dancing, and the name kind of stuck. I decided to name this clothing line SKILLA because it’s a pretty unique name and that uniqueness perfectly symbolizes the Exclusiveness of this brand.

The center and heart of SKILLA’s inspiration is in my faith in Jesus Christ, and helping others. It also stems from my typography (word art), comics and architecture background. My positive, energetic, loving, and fun-filled personality, as well as my OVERALL LOVE for music, also plays a part in SKILLA’s existence. It was real challenging mixing all of these things together to come up with exclusive collectible gear. But everything comes together better and better everyday.
