Finalizing the move to ATL!
So the time is here! I will be off to Georgia for good at the end of March. I’m going to miss my wonderful family and my awesome friends. That being said, I’m so excited to be off to ATL because first of all I miss my wife and kids like crazy and I will be able to focus on SKILLA completely. I have some really exciting ideas for building SKILLA in Georgia and I don’t have to worry about too much paperwork because SKILLA was registered in Georgia from day one. So keep my family and I in your prayers as we step out in faith.
The Ideal HEART!
This song has been real inspirational to me and I plan to work towards having a heart like this, “A Heart that Forgives“! T-shirt coming soon!
Raffle at Seton Hall!
After speaking at Seton Hall University in October of last year, Soldiers 4 Christ Step Team offer to do a raffle using some clothing as prizes. I thought this was a pretty cool idea, so I said yes. How how they did it was, what ever the person one they would purchase it from my store. So it was a win on both ends, check out some pics they sent over.
Email me if anyone would like to do the same thing @ info@skillafashion.com
Thrillist NYC Headquarters!
I had a meeting last year around the Christmas season at Thrillist.com NYC headquarters and talk about a relaxing HQ. From a pool table, awesome art work and really cool people, I give this office a ‘A’ for good working environment.

Hey Y’all!
Hey Friends
I just love the support that the brand has received this past year (2009), everyone have been so awesome. I plan to step it up even more for 2010 and to just have more fun doing what I love. Please remember that I don’t make mass production because I love the thought of something being limited or exclusive. Like when my friends and I would go to the NBA store to check out the throw back or retro jerseys and gear or when my brother and I would collect basketball cards, hoping in that pack of cards you would get a MJ rookie card or some really rare card.
I could go on and on about stories, so please understand once something releases try to be the first to pick it up because it may just be gone the next time you try to get it.
On that note the 1st set of 2010 gear drops next weekend and to kick it of I will be having a release celebration on Saturday 1/30/2010 at 6pm.

Also the “I’m A SKILLA” series is on the move, this is when I go around featuring some of the most skilled/gifted people I know or would like to know because I love to meet and talk to talented people. So at the event I will be featuring 2 up and coming culinary pros. I’ve tried their cooking personlly and these guys can really throw down in the kitchen, so come and enjoy good food and pick up some fresh gear.

Good Times!
This past weekend was one of the best, I spent most of it with my wife and two little gems. I rarely get to spend time with them because we bought a home in Hampton, GA and they move down last year September of 2009 after my second daughter was born. So that’s why I’m always heading to Georgia for the holidays. I’m still running SKILLA from NY (which is based in Georgia) and working full time but I hope to move down for good soon. We had our daughter christened (blessed) at our church in Mt. Vernon, NY on Sunday 1/17/2010, then hanged out with family and friends after, which was awesome.
Thank you to everyone who came, you made it a wonderful evening.
Haiti’s Pain!
I can’t even imagine what the people of Haiti are going through right now because sometimes disaster comes and all you can ask is why me/us, why here and why now. Just on Sunday my wife and I had a flood at our home because I pipe broke and flood caused alot of damages. I would call that a disaster but really what the people of Haiti are going through right now is a disaster, so I hope we can all ban together to help out in some way, shape or form. SKILLA’s heart and prayers go out to the people of Haiti.
